The classic-design reformer was invented by Joseph Pilates, and is still in use today, although, there are other various models. The classic reformer is the one that I own. It consists of a carriage that connects to pulleys, ropes and springs that allow the exerciser to use their own resistance, as well as, the machine’s parts to tone the powerhouse, or core of the body, which is so central to Pilates work. Exercises can be performed while lying flat on the back, sideways, kneeling or standing. The reformer is often referred to as a “bed.” It’s versatility is surpassed! Pilates excels in toning, stretching and lengthening muscles, increasing balance and flexibility, while bringing proportion and graceless carriage to the body. It’s no wonder that ballet dancers love this as part of their training routine.
My prices are as follows:
- $20.00 an hour for one private reformer session.
- Punch pass for 10 sessions is $185.00.
- Punch pass for 20 sessions is $350.00.
- Punch-pass sessions are required to be paid in advance.
