Turpentine – An Alternative Treatment For Cancer And Other Diseases

Most people associate turpentine with paint because it’s used as a solvent and paint thinner, but what you may not know is that it’s been used as a healing remedy for centuries. Pure gum turpentine, or pine tree oil, comes from distilled pine tree sap or resin, and is used as an alternative treatment for cancer and other diseases. Turpentine has antioxidant properties, is anti-proliferative and prevents mutations. For thousands of years it’s been touted as a cure-all for many conditions.

Alternative Medicine For Cancer

The oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes (OPCs) in turpentine have been found to inhibit cancer cell growth, while inducing cancer cell death. Turpentine has positive effects on the liver, eradicates pathogenic micro-organisms and maintains cell membrane integrity.

Interestingly, in the 1899 edition of the Merck manual, turpentine was listed as a remedy under each condition listed. It’s extremely inexpensive, in fact one pint of turpentine at a cost of $15.00 will provide healing for two years. In the United States, turpentine is derived from the distilled resin of pine trees found in the southern part of the country.

Turpentine has been used to treat arthritis, lung disease, meningitis, GI upset, adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalances, and is a highly respected anti-cancer therapy for breast, spleen, liver, and rectal cancers. Because turpentine is a solvent, it is able to dissolve vaccination residue sequestered in storage sites.

Turpentine Has An Impressive History

Jacques Cartier, a French explorer, arrived in the 1500s, in what is now Quebec, Canada. The natives of that land taught him and his men how to steep the needles of pine trees to make a therapeutic tea that cured scurvy, a severe vitamin C deficiency. Pine tree oil is a folk remedy that’s been used for years to treat poor circulation, eye problems, arthritis, and joint pain. Turpentine contains beneficial nutrients, such as flavonoids, proanthocyanidins, and procyanidins.

It was common for seamen during the Age of Discovery to carry turpentine with them to sea. Ferdinand Magellan took it with him on his voyage circumnavigating the globe. In the 1800s, slaves in America used turpentine as their secret remedy to prevent disease. In the Bible, turpentine is called terebinth, and was used for its healing constituents and medicinal properties, including the terpenes alpha and beta-pinene, terpinolene, camphene, dipentene, and carene.

Terpenes are found in the essential oils of a plant, and are aromatic organic hydrocarbons responsible for the smells in food, plants, and perfume. You’ll often hear terpenes referred to in regard to cannabis, which is another alternative treatment for cancer, and can be used in conjunction with turpentine.

Turpentine Eliminates Parasites And Pathogenic Microbes

Turpentine is an effective remedy against fungal infections like candida, bacterial infections, and parasitic infections, including internal parasites, such as tapeworms and external mites like lice and scabies. The mechanism behind why it works is its ability to weaken the cell walls of fungi, viruses, bacteria, and parasites.

Natural turpentine is sold as pure gum turpentine, and has been used for its diuretic and antiseptic properties, and as an anti-helminth for intestinal parasites. Parasitic infections are implicated in cancer and other disease states. Pure gum spirits or pure gum turpentine is extracted from terebinthinate trees found in the United States.

Turpentine Eradicates Candida

Candida is notoriously hard to treat because of the defense mechanisms it uses for survival. One of these mechanisms is to rob its host of available nutrition. To make things worse, the nutrients that are not stolen by the fungus, aren’t available to be used by the body due to the intestinal barrier created by the candida. This is an unfortunate situation because energy is expended to digest food, but none of the nutrients are available for use.

This causes fatigue and many other symptoms, like cravings, perpetuating the growth of candida. Once the fungus has taken hold, it can be quite intractable. And it doesn’t help matters that candida, in spore form, can survive for a long time with no nutrition. The most deleterious effect of candida is the damage it causes the small intestine where it can wreak a lot of havoc.

White sugar is used as a delivery method for turpentine because of its ability to attract fungus, which the turpentine can then attack and eradicate. Unlike antibiotic and herbal microbials, turpentine does not harm healthy gut bacteria, which is a huge advantage. Castor oil can also be used, which in itself  helps clear the body of congestion.

Turpentine Used Topically

Candida in small amounts on the skin is normal. It becomes problematic when it continues to multiply and overgrow. People with compromised immune systems, infants, pregnant women, and those who live in humid areas are at risk for candida infections of the skin. Certain medications increase risk as well, including antibiotics, corticosteroids, and the birth control pill.

Turpentine can be applied topically to fungal infections on the skin, as well as superficial cuts, scratches, and blemishes. Mix it with a little castor oil and apply it directly to the affected area. Fungal infections include oral thrush in the mouth, nail fungus, athlete’s foot, jock itch, and diaper rash.

Cancer Is A Modern Disease

Modern diseases like allergies, autoimmunity, and and cancer are relatively modern diseases, with their prevalence increasing after World War II, coinciding with widespread antibiotic use and environmental toxicity. While antibiotics kill bacteria, they aren’t effective against viruses, and cause proliferation of mycoplasmas and fungus, foundational causes of many diseases.

Dr. Jennifer Daniels adopted a protocol using turpentine to successfully eradicate candida. Turpentine is consumed orally by pouring one teaspoon over sugar cubes and ingested. This protocol is followed daily if the infection is chronic, and repeated twice weekly thereafter.

Watch this video to hear Dr. Daniels talk about the benefits of turpentine:

Turpentine Protocol

Only 100% pure gum spirits should be used. No more than one teaspoon per day should be taken for people weighing under 240 pounds, and ironically people weighing over that don’t need more, but may actually need a lower dose.

It is absolutely paramount that preliminary measures be taken to prepare the body before taking turpentine.
A clean diet and adequate hydration are essential, and the intestines must be cleared in order for turpentine to be effective. For instance, you could apply a few drops of turpentine to an arthritic joint to find significant relief, only to find the pain return.

The pain most likely happened because the body was trying to rid the painful area of toxicity, but since the intestines were congested, there was no elimination route, causing the pain to return. Many people, at this point, question the efficacy  of turpentine, when in reality the problem is one of toxicity. Detoxification is vital for people with cancer so detox protocols should already be in place if one is struggling with this disease.

Turpentine does not work alone, but works in tandem with the immune system. This is why toxicity must be addressed and rectified for the remedy to work as it should. A complete understanding of this concept should be in place before starting treatment.

Turpentine Dosages

Turpentine can be taken in regular doses indefinitely, whether this is a once-a-week dose or taken a couple of times a month for maintenance. The most common way to take turpentine is poured over sugar cubes or a spoonful of sugar (three times the amount of turpentine) or it can be taken with castor oil. Note that the turpentine should not fully saturate the sugar.

Experiment taking turpentine with both sugar or castor oil to see how your body reacts as it may favor one method over the other. A dosage of four drops is a good initial starting dose, building up to one teaspoon per day. Turpentine can be taken with food or on an empty stomach. It’s doesn’t seem to matter, but should be taken at least two hours before bed to promote restful sleep.

Using turpentine topically is convenient for babies and children because three or four drops can be applied to the bottom of the feet. Dosages are not dependent on age, but rather on weight. Approximately three drops can be used per pound of body weight.

Here is a reputable brand of turpentine. It’s made in the USA, is 100% natural, and has a refreshing pine scent. One bottle will last approximately two years.

Use The Lowest Dose That Works

Always use the lowest dose possible that yields a positive effect. Turpentine can be used by anyone at any age. Always keep in mind how imperative it is that the bowels be working properly before using it. This applies to children and adults. High-dose vitamin C, enemas, magnesium citrate, castor oil, and consuming prunes are all ways to stimulate the bowels to empty.

Honey or other sweeteners, including stevia and artificial sweeteners, should not be used. White sugar is used because of its ability to transport and absorb turpentine. Just make sure the sugar you buy is organic and non-GMO. Raw turbinado sugar or organic cane sugar can also be used. No known fatalities have occurred from taking turpentine.

Key Points

Turpentine has long been recognized and used as a powerful anti-cancer elixir and remedy. It’s anti-mutagenic, inhibits the spread of cancer, detoxifies the liver, and eliminates pathogenic microbes and candida without harming healthy gut bacteria. Put a drop of turpentine in your daily lotion, or use it with a dab of castor oil, to take advantage of its anti-aging properties for skin. Turpentine is purported to improve eyesight as well, with some users tossing their reading glasses.

  1. I came across your article when looking for some alternative treatments. I like to keep informed on what’s available, especially if it’s natural and easy to get and administer with no side effects.

We live in a humid climate and an effective treatment against candida might come in handy. Apart from that it might be something to pass on to friends and family who suffer from other conditions that might be able to treat with turpentine.

You are right that most people probably have not heard of turpentine in other contexts apart from being a solvent. But like many other things that have been around for ages and have been forgotten about it is making a comeback.

    • Thank you Petra. Turpentine is inexpensive, safe, and doesn’t come with the negative side effects of prescription drugs or conventional cancer treatments. Plus, it’s great for prevention and general health maintenance. Because people equate it with the paint industry, it’s not on their radar to use it in regard to health.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.
